Community Involvement
We encourage everyone affiliated with our agency to be actively involved in the community and “give back” when the opportunity arises. This is accomplished through coordinated activities through VTC as well as involvement in after hours service clubs and weekend volunteer events. Listed below is a small sampling of how we get involved in the life of the FM Community.
52 x 52 Project
Every week we coordinate at least 1 volunteer activity to participate in as an agency. Past events include, neighborhood cleanup, fire hydrant shovel outs, greeting at the Arc, and volunteering at local nursing homes.
Salvation Army
During the Red kettle campaign, VTC representatives ring the bell for a day.
United Way
Agency staff serve as impact speakers during annual campaign, staff and consumers volunteer during the annual backpack drive, and annually staff participate in the "Day of Caring" event.
Adopt-a-Road
VTC has adopted a road in Fargo and collects litter and other debris from the road and boulevards.
