About Us
The Center provides vocational training for individuals with disabilities and other barriers to employment. This training is accomplished by doing actual work within our building or at our customer's site. Our agency mission is “Committed to providing quality vocational services, supports, and advocacy leading to greater opportunities, choices, employment, and independence for individuals with barriers to employment.” We believe that everyone that wants to work should have that opportunity, and we help make this wish a reality.
We have been in business for almost 50 years; are listed with Dunn and Bradstreet (020482873), an active member of the Fargo Moorhead West Fargo Chamber of Commerce, and are a United Way Agency. We take pride in producing quality products for the business community while providing employment opportunities and supports to individuals with barriers to employment.
The Evaluation and Training Center also works in conjunction with the Fargo School System to provide transition services to high school students. The Center offers evaluations and transition services to school districts as requested. Transition services include opportunities for the student to engage in different vocational areas, exercise, computer accessibility and community activities. If the student chooses the Vocational Training Center as their day supports program, a DDPM will make application to the Center on their behalf.
